Create Contacts
Add new contacts to your company's centralized contact database individually or in bulk.
Creating a Single Contact
- Navigate to Contact Management from the sidebar.
- Click the Add Contact or + button.
- Fill in the contact details:
- First Name (required)
- Last Name
- Phone Number (required) - Include country code for best results
- Email Address
- Company Name
- Notes - Add any relevant information about the contact
- Assign the contact to one or more Groups (optional).
- Click Save to create the contact.
Phone Number Format
Enter phone numbers with the country code (e.g., +1 for US numbers) to ensure proper caller ID matching and outbound dialing.
Adding Multiple Phone Numbers
Some contacts may have multiple phone numbers:
- While creating or editing a contact, look for the Add Phone Number option.
- Click to add additional phone number fields.
- Enter each phone number with an optional label (Mobile, Work, Home).
- All numbers will be associated with the contact and matched for caller ID.
Bulk Import via CSV
For importing many contacts at once:
Preparing Your CSV File
Create a CSV file with the following columns:
first_name,last_name,phone,email,company,group
John,Smith,+15551234567,john@example.com,Acme Corp,Leads
Jane,Doe,+15559876543,jane@example.com,XYZ Inc,VIP Clients
Importing the File
- Navigate to Contact Management.
- Click the Upload Contacts button.
- Download the CSV template if needed.
- Select your prepared CSV file.
- Click Upload to add the contacts.
Duplicate Handling
The system will check for duplicate phone numbers during import. You can choose to skip duplicates or update existing records.
Creating Contacts from Communication
You can also create contacts directly from the Communication page:
- During or after a call with an unknown number, click the badge next to the number.
- The phone number will be pre-filled.
- Enter the remaining contact details.
- Save the contact.
Required Fields

After Creating a Contact
Once a contact is created:
- The contact appears in your Contact Management list.
- Incoming calls from this number will display the contact name.
- The contact is available for selection when making outbound calls.
- All team members can see and use the contact.
